The program, held on December 5-6, 2008, at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, is a great resource for those applying for accreditation for the first time, as well as those preparing for re-accreditation. The day and a half long seminar provides tips and tools from experienced surveyors to help guide your organization from application through decision.

The seminar begins with an in-depth look at AAAHC’s core standards, and then breaks into smaller groups by specialty to review the adjunct chapters that apply to your specific organization. Attendees receive the 2008 Accreditation Handbook for Ambulatory Health Care and the 2008 Self-Assessment Manual with their registration (a $315 value).

Immediately following the conclusion of Achieving Accreditation, The AAAHC Institute for Quality Improvement will begin their 8th Annual National Educational Forum for Ambulatory Health Care. Held on December 6-7, at the Rio, this program is specifically designed to help ambulatory healthcare professionals develop an effective quality improvement (QI) program or enhance an existing one. Tools and techniques learned at the Forum are designed to help you:

  • Identify practical and constructive study topics
  • Develop clinical benchmarks and other clinical performance measurement activities
  • Advance QI programs in your organization
  • Increase productivity, patient satisfaction, quality assessment, and financial performance by using quality data.
