Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is usually seen in preschool children and those in their early school years. Treatments include medication management and behavioral treatment. Structuring a patient’s environment and being consistent in your approach can be helpful.
Here are some hints to use when working with children with ADHD:
- Provide a schedule and routine in their day. Post the schedule where it can be readily seen.
- Organize their belongings. Have a place for everything and keep everything in its place.
- Write down important items that you want them to remember.
- Provide consistent rules that they can understand and follow. When rules are followed, give rewards, such as praise, hugs, or high fives.

I am impressed, I have to say. Very seldom do I discover a blog that is both educational and entertaining, and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head. Your blog is important; the matter is something that not a lot of people are speaking intelligently about. I’m very happy that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to it.

GameFly has thousands of other video games, and they even carry titles for older platforms like the Xbox and GameCube. If you enjoy nothing more than first-person shooters, RPGs, and musical games like Guitar Hero, be sure to check out their site and give them a try.

I took care of my 65-year-old, chain-smoking mother as she died from lung cancer three years ago. I thought, at the time, that if seeing her suffer so horribly didn’t make me quit, nothing would. Yet I continued to smoke. I’m not proud of that. I hated it, I wanted desperately to quit, but I continued nonetheless.
