Our Last Semester columnist Chelsea is now mere days from graduating and entering—gasp—the real world. During the past several months, she has taken us on an exciting journey through the end of her college life. She’s shared the 10 things she’ll miss most about college, offered her nursing philosophy, explained her difficulties with the job search, and showed us a behind-the-scenes look at her clinical experience as a student. Now, it’s time to let her hair down a bit. College is coming to a close and it’s time to have fun. But not before a fantastic NCLEX review.
Okay so senior week is in full effect! We had a boat cruise around Boston Harbor and we got to rent out the top floor of a popular night spot. It has been a lot of late nights. We also have a masquerade ball, which I am calling prom! (I loved prom and this is my excuse to get all dressed up and go out.) Then we are going gambling on Friday! Phew!
It has been exhausting, but oh so fun. It hasn’t gotten sad yet, but I don’t think anybody wants to bring up the idea of leaving on Sunday. It is so weird to think that this is the last week I am going to be spending with these people that I have spent the last four years with.
Anyway, enough about me and my anxiety about leaving college. I want to tell you guys about the amazing NCLEX review we got to do.
So, it’s an NCLEX company that one of my professors started. He travels all over the country to help out nurses! It was five days of sitting in an awkward place from 8 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon. Now, don’t get me wrong, that’s a long day, but it went by so fast and it was worth every minute. We had test preparation on the first day before they got into the content. Most NCLEX reviews don’t do very much on content but this truly helped me with some areas that I needed a little refresher.
The teachers that were involved were so helpful and energetic. I didn’t realize how much they helped me until I had to take the HESI (Health Education Systems, Inc.) test again. That was the one where we had to score a 900 for it to be likely that we pass the NCLEX. So I took the test after this review and got my 900. I actually got higher than that! So, if you guys are interested in this review, just email us and we will get you the information that you need to get you or your school involved!
For now, I hope the weather holds up for the weekend and it doesn’t rain. I will keep you posted with my jobs. I have an interview two days after graduation and then another not long after that!
Editor’s note: Chelsea is a senior nursing student at small liberal arts college 20 miles outside of Boston. Her column “Last Semester” appears weekly, exclusively on StressedOutNurses.com.

I have been surfing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It’s pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will be much more useful than ever before.

Playing games should not be as expensive as you think. Why would you buy expensive CDs if you can rent all the game that you want for a very low price? There are other companies that you might want to try.

I can’t believe the e-cigarette exists, I am still completely thrilled about it. Especially that it is the only thing to help me quit smoking cigarettes and begin an all around healthier life style. I am 23, I had smoked for TEN years when I started the e-cigs. I couldn’t believe how easy it was to switch to these. Hopefully more smokers will know this IS an option.
