Like the scenes that make up a movie, nutrients such as vitamins and minerals are essential building blocks. Nutrients promote the healthy functioning of all systems within the body. Deficiencies of vital nutrients and minerals can lead to malnutrition, chronic conditions, and be the precursors to many diseases. Thus, as a nurse, you must consider the scheduling of medications that could potentially cause drug-nutrient interactions at times relative to meals.
Remember these tips for avoiding drug-nutrient interactions to help keep clients safe:
- Verify physician orders
- Check common nutrient interactions against current medication lists
- Determine whether a drug should be administered on an empty stomach or with food or water
- Administer vitamin and mineral supplements before or after other medications

Hey! It’s like you understand my mind! You seem to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with some pictures to drive the content home a bit, besides that, this is informative blog post. A outstanding read. I’ll certainly revisit again.

I’m impressed, I must say. Very rarely do I encounter a blog that’s both educational and entertaining, and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head. Your post is important; the issue is something that not enough people are talking intelligently about. I am very happy that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to it.

An impressive share, I just given this onto a fellow worker who was doing a little analysis on this. And he in fact bought me lunch because I discovered it for him…. smile.. So let me reword that: Thankx for the treat! But yeah Thnx for taking the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love learning more on this topic. If possible, as you become expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more details? It is very helpful for me. Big thumb up for this article!
